Cortina hosted the 1956 Winter Olympics and in February 2026 returned as host of the XXV Milano Cortina Winter Games. The Tofane — Olimpia delle Tofane slope, visible from Faloria's rooms and terrace, hosted Women's Alpine Skiing. The Olympic Ice Stadium, a short walk away, hosted curling. The Games attracted 1.3 million spectators and permanently elevated Cortina's global standing. Faloria's guests skied the same Olympic slopes before the world was watching.
